    Hi,
I have been using Cpanel for a bit and not had any problems, but recently I have noticed that none of the ftp information functions are working - by this I mean everywhere in Cpanel where it requests information about the ftp users (logged in as reseller OR as end user) there is an
[an error occurred while processing this directive] and the script continues as if there was a 0 or null response -

by this I mean on the front page I get:

    Code:
Ftp Accounts [an error occurred while processing this directive]0 / unlimited
where as inside the ftp user managment screen I get something like:

    Code:
[an error occurred while processing this directive]There are currently no active ftp accounts.
where I know i have ftp users. This seems to happen across all my users on the box (I have not logged into an account which is not affected).

This is on a fedore abox, running cpanel stable, I have updated everything and run all the update and just don't know what to try next. Everything else seems to work (ish)

    Clues?

First step would be to ensure that there aren't any issues with the cPanel installation by running:

    /scripts/upcp --force

    Thanks!

    that worked like a dream!.

Whats the difference between using that and the update server / update cpanel in WHM? (apart from that method working?)

It ought to do the same thing, but I've always found it easier to follow from the shell.
