I have a small .exe file sitting on my web site I need users to download. I currently have it has an HTTP download. The problem I am having is that the users are getting disconnected while downloading it. I have personally tried it myself on several computers. It has taken on the average 4 tries to get the file.

This is really frustrating. If I changed to set the link as an FTP to the file will it be better?

Or what else can I do?

    Help!

FTP does support a few more features than HTTP when it comes to file transfers.

If the file is small as you describe, and people are running into problems as frequently as you describe, the problem may be related to your pipe or hardware.
