    I keep receiving the message:

    -----------
ftpd failed @ Mon Mar 23 11:52:45 2009. A restart was attempted automagically.

Failure Reason: Unable to connect to port 21
    -----------

I have tried restarting in WHM and I get the following message:
    -----------
    Attempting to restart ftpserver
    Waiting for ftpserver to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.

    ftpserver status

    root 12505 0.0 0.6 7836 856 ? S 11:57 0:00 /usr/sbin/pure-authd -s /var/run/ftpd.sock -r /usr/sbin/pureauth

ftpserver has failed, please contact the sysadmin.
    -----------

Not sure why this has happened, but just startred about 5 hours ago!

Is there a way to stop the FTPd completing, as we use sFTP anyhow.

    Many thanks,

    H.

    Banned IP

    Hi,

Check the cphulkd database and then look in the brutes table and I am positive that you will see your IP address in here! You may add your IP address to the whitelist table, but you must remove it from the brutes table.

You will obviously need root access to gain access to this table.

    hope this helps.

    H.
