Update FIX ---- GD Install...Just not working

:) UPDATE: If you have the same problem as me, I have found a FIX/Workaround: http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=53850

    Thanks

    Hi All,

I have been struggling for days trying to install GD. I have tried manual install, I have also tried the the WebHost Manager-> Software -> Apache Updates. All indications are that the update is successful, but the GD (Version 2.0.15) does not get added to the configure update.

To view a full breakdown of my PHP version and install, go to:
    http://www.smartdigitalmedia.com/php.php

    Here is an extract

    ./configure [@php-4.4.2]...(--prefix=/usr --with-xml --enable-bcmath --enable-calendar --enable-ftp --enable-magic-quotes --with-mysqli --with-mysql=/usr --enable-discard-path --with-pear --enable-sockets --enable-track-vars --with-zlib).... . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done

    make [@php-4.4.2]...(-j 1 clean).... Done

    make [@php-4.4.2]...(-j 1).... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done

    make [@php-4.4.2]...(install).... . . . . . . . . . . . Done

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

distro = distribution or in other words linux variant, e.g. red hat, fedora, centos, freebsd
