i was wondering if it is possible for a user to set up a cron job that will generate a full home dir backup and ftp it to a specified ftp
if so what would the command be as i cant find specifically what im needing on google or from the cpanel docs
i know there are a few php scripts out there but they do usually contain not only the cpanel user/pass but the remote ftp user/pass

    thanks guys

yes it does work well BUT i want something that is automated kind of like the whm backups, this user is very paranoid about backups (his last host lost his sql databases daily) and he doesnt want to have to go in every day and do it himself and i personally dont want to have to do it as well so i thought a cron job would be nice if it were possible

Is there any chance for the cPanel dev team to add this as a feature soon?
More end-users are begining to ask for this, and all the elements are already there for them in cPanel backups, apart from ftp/scp to a remote server via cron.

Maybe using a script similar to this one:

    Pretty please? :)

    Thanks,

    - Vince
