I used WHM to generate and install an SSL cert for a client last week.. All went fine.. was a geotrust cert. Tonight I tried to do the same for another client who wanted to used Chained SSL (freessl.com paid version), but when I paste the CSR into their site it keeps saying "please enter a valid CSR"... What is going on?

cabundle

You need to also enter in the cabundle. This is meant to be supplied, but when I got a freessl Ionly received the cert itself (even thoughthe email said both was listed).

It is the same as when you get a SecureSSL/InstantSSL cert, but atleast they provide the cabundle for you to paste in.

If you do get your hands on the cabundle, you can then add extra FreeSSL certs as the nthe issuer is known.

FreeSSL, good idea, lousy support.

Make sure you copy the ---BEGIN and ---END part. I just installed a FreeSSL certificate, I didn't have to provide a cabundle for it to work.
