    Hello,

I am "~XXX" folder created under /home/abc/public_html folder. Whenever I try to access it from browser http://domainname.com/~test/, I receive below error.

[Tue Feb 10 03:14:51 2005] [error] [client x.x.x.x] getpwnam: invalid username XXX
[Tue Feb 10 03:14:51 2005] [error] exec of /home/abc/public_html/~XXX/index.php failed
[Tue Feb 10 03:14:51 2005] [error] [client 203.193.163.74] Premature end of script headers: /home/abc/public_html/~XXX/index.php

Is it so that I cannot create folders starting with '~' sign?

    Thank you,

    Go on, have a guess
You would have to disable mod_userdir to be able to do that in WHM > Tweak Security
