I tried to set up a cgi script to open a freebie thing like geocities, but when i try to use it i get a 500 error, internal server error. The files are uploaded and CHMOD'd to 777, any ideas where i can look to find out why I'm getting errors?

    thanks!

Do you have suexec running? If so, change anything you have set at 777 to 755.
