Can someone please tell me how to get to the file manager?
I'm very new at this and I know nothing about cPanel. When I log in I am told to log in under the name "root" (which I cannot seem to change to save my life!) and I just want to get to my normal website files. There are all these big squares with complex controls in them for doctoring up the "server" - but I don't give a crap about the server at the moment, I just want to get to my normal website files. I have clicked onto every square and icon and cannot seem to locate a normal file directory tree. HELP!!!!

Login to cpanel and scroll down to the section named "Files" then look for the icon named "file manager".
cpanel has extensive documentation available here: cPanel User Guide

    Hello :)

You will need to ensure you are accessing cPanel and not Web Host Manager. You can find a list of your accounts with an option to access cPanel via:

"WHM Home >> Account Information >> List Accounts"

    Thank you.
