I am getting 5 or 6 of these an hour sent to my gmail account.
The letters appear to be randomly generated.

Looking in the WHM Mail logs I see
The IP's seem to originate somewhere in China.

Every once in a while I'll catch things like this sitting in the mail queue manager.

Roots email is not being forwarded to my gmail account but cpanel's mail is.

I'm not sure what to make of this. I'm getting a crap ton of these. I don't know what's generating the emails but they appear to be coming from my system.
I'd like to know what they are and why my system is generating them.

If by default address you mean Cpanel's email in Main >> Server Contacts >> Change System Mail Preferences then yes. It's set to my gmail account.

Additionally, looking in Main >> Email >> View Relayers shows a lot of activity.

EDIT: I read that thread but wasn't sure if it was the same issue or not.

That email setting is in WHM, I was thinking the "Default Address" on the/an account on the server. zushiba @ null.hitpoints.org does have a cPanel account, correct?

not that I know of at least none that I set. Though this has only been an issue for the last 2 days with no change to system or software.
