I actually need the same thing. To enable git for my clients using CageFS.

Installing Git on cPanel servers
This seems to be an older version than the one distributed with cPanel now. Obsolete package?

Adding git compiled from source into CageFS
This I haven't tried yet, together with the cPanel distributed git. I'm not sure how to do it. The post is confusing, talking about git compiled from source, not a word about git-cpanel or cpanel-git.
