    Hi,

We have a dedicated server which uses cPanel/WHM. We need to make controls of the outgoing mails to check if the mail extension is related to domain. For example if there is a mail with @example.com extension going out from @exapmle2.com hosting account we need to filter and failed this mail. How can we work this out?

    Thanks.

I do not know the right syntax. Can you write a sample filter for me.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You may want to consider using the following option in "WHM >> Exim Configuration Manager >> Basic Editor" for this purpose instead of developing a custom filter rule:

EXPERIMENTAL: Rewrite From: header to match actual sender
If you enabled this option, the From: header will be rewritten to be the email address of the actual message sender. If you choose the "remote" option, only messages that are being sent to remote destinations will be affected.

Otherwise, the Exim users mailing list is a useful resource for help with developing custom Exim system filter rules:

    Exim-users

    Thanks!
