Before I submit this as a feature request I'd like to hear some input from the community.

What I would like to see is a global signature that customers can apply to all outgoing messages from their domains.

For example a customer can have the global signature

    Code:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
This message is intended for the specified recipients. If you received this message erroneously please discard it immediately. This message has been scanned by ClamAV for known virus and trojans.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    What does the community think?

we've already provided that for some clients using the mailscanner signature rulesets, but it's not ideal - something in cPanel (or MSFE, if Chirpy's reading :D ) would be great

    Go on, have a guess
    I am reading ;)

The problem with this is that it really is not the responsibility of the MTA, really this completely lies with the MUA (i.e. the users email client). If you want to look into doing it in exim:
    http://www.exim.org/exim-html-4.40/doc/html/FAQ_16.html

Otherwise, as Steve suggests, you can use something that spools the emails and adds a signature itself - such as MailScanner. It is possible to make the signatures domain specific too.
