I would like to set it up so users can go directly to Webmail.

I have disabled SquirelMail and they only can use Horde Mail.

I would like it so they can type: http://www.thedomain.com/webmail and it takes them right to the login screen of HORDE webmail

I do not want them to get directed to https:// and I also do not want them to have to Login and then Select Horde (since it is the only one there) -

I am trying to make it so they can get thier webmail by going to:

http://www.domain.com/webmail and be asked to log into "their webmail"

Anyone have an idea?

Thank you -

Going Directly to Webmail - without a 3 step process

Thank you so much - that took out the Secure Certificate issue.

Which just leaves this -

I only enabled Horde Email - so we only have one choice for email - but this is what happens...

1. http://www.domain.com/webmail - a user name and password screen appears - you login in with your email information

2. Then you must select the Horde ICON to get to the next part.

3. Then you must select a little Login Button - which is part of Horde - you do not have to relogin but you must hit this button.

4. Now you can see webmail.

We are moving from another provider and our clients will not be happy that they can not go right to webmail - and have to add 3 more steps.

We are trying to make it so this works:

1. Go to webmail - http://www.domain.com/webmail
2. Login
3. Webmail is there - no additional zillion selecting Icon's and clicking login's again.

This will be a customer service nightmare that we are trying to avoid.

Thank you so much for the help with the first part - that fix worked great - now if I can only get this I will be a happy happy person.

Do a search for cpanelken?

I could not find him on the forums - maybe I am searching for the wrong things?

search for something called hordebridge. This is a script developed by someone that have what you want. It will create a frontend for you to logon to your email without going through cpanel's screens. The good thing about this script is that it has the login style you wanted and it uses port 80 instead of stupid special port that cpanel is using.

The problem is, the developer has stopped development for this script. Last time I checked, the script seems to be quite stable. I am using an older version of this script that I customized myself. It's stills is working fine up to this new horde version of cpanel.

This worked great - but can we tweak a little?

This worked really great - thank you!!!

I was wondering - can we skip the step where it takes you to the HORDE Screen all together and logs them right in to their mail folders.

Now, they log in, get the Horde Screen - "Click Here to Read Email with Horde" and just have them go straight to email??

Thanks

It:

1. Bypasses the silly language drop-down menu
2. Fixes some of the language problems that garble the display

One problem I've noted so far:

Sometimes Horde has problems logging into the IMAP server, or even connecting, in those cases you will still revieve the page with the language drop down. To resolve this will require some rewrite/rethinking of this login script. If your left bar menu appears fine, but the main part of the page displays the language drop down, simply select something from the left bar menu. You are actually logged in, it's simply some oddity with Horde/IMAP.
