    Hello all,

I'm migrating all our accounts from the main DNS into a bigger server and would like then to update/downgrate that server with Cpanel DNS only version in order to avoid paying the license fees as we don't want to keep any customer on this server.

Is that possible without formatting the server? It is currently on a DNS cluster and configured as the primary.

Also, when I install the DNS only version, will I be able to add a few sites (mine) by installing or compiling a version of apache, mysql etc or this will conflict somehow with the Cpanel DNS only version?

    Thanks a lot

I would recommend formatting the server. As for manually running your own Apache, MySQL etc. on the server, that should not interfere with cPanel DNS Only.

Note cPanel DNS Only is not a stand-alone product. It is designed only to cluster with existing cPanel/WHM servers.
