Going to Install cPanel

    Hello,
    I am getting ready to install cPanel/WHM. How do I set up my host name beforehand so that WHM recognizes it?

    You should make sure it's a full qualified domain name with a subdomain for the hostname. That is, set it to somthing.yourdomain.com which you can do by using the hostname utility or when you build the server. You may also need to set it in /etc/sysconfig/network

    Thanks for the help. Now how do I point sub.domain.com to the server's IP?
