    We need a server-side solution that will BLOCK spam. Spamassassin just tags it and the user ends up getting it anyhow.

    Does anyone have a solution that they use.

    Of course we are using EXIM for our mailserver.

    Look at the configuration options for spamassassin. You can set it up to divert the spam to another mailbox, delete it, forward it, etc.

    See:
    man spamassassin
    man Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf

    The newer versions (>2.5 i believe) also come with a bayesian mail filter that can be trained to recognize the difference between regular and spam mail.
