I have a question in regards to the SSL Cert for WHM and CPAENL. I have installed many of ssl certs but never at a cpanel level or whm level.

What FQDN do you use? Do you need 2 SSL certs one for cpanel and 1 for WHM does anyone have a step by step guide to installing a cert and using it for WHM/CPanel/Webmail ports? Thanks for the help!

    Go on, have a guess
TBH, with our servers I either generate a self-signed CERT or get a cheapy one for the actual hostname of the server. Generate the required files using WHM > Generate an SSL Certificate and Signing Request, but don't bother installing.

You can then use the key and CRT from that (or from the cert provider generated from that CSR) and enter them into WHM > Change cPanel/WHM Certificate, then stop and restart cpanel, and away you go.

Never had a problem with it.

I then get the users to login via:
    https://hostname:2083

and login myself into WHM through:
    https://hostname:2087
