You make many valid points, and I am sorry if I went a bit off. I guess the keyword in your post was "Our Own". Which pretty much means the theme belongs to you or was created by you(in some way). And rightfully it does not. I placed an emphasis on this in my post. I am not really attacking the fact that you modified that theme, more to the way you presented it. For the most part you presented quite well(explained what you took and from where). Which I think is nice to show the respect.
I know its hard to find the time to develop your "really" own theme. It is hard for me to even find the time myself. I dont see anything wrong with modifing existing themes. I mean we have more things to do I know. I would just appreciate it when you dont call other peoples work "your own". Those words kinda got to me bottled....
Just please in the future, use another term aside from "our own"..
I really apologize to you if I offended you. There just have been so many recent skins that all relate to xskins and such and a lot of turmoil has came from it. The layout is real basic so it really did not catch my attention until the side table or icons.
And I do have a great idea for you. The theme you made was excellent! One thing that stood out was it has those over-used and abused themewhore icons(which are not even xskins). I would reccomend you change those. That would give a great reflection of difference inthe way of the look. One person here even gave a link to a great icons site
www.wincustomize.com Its actually a good resource and it wouldn't take much time at all. Other then that if it doesnt match your site scheme as you wanted iyt too. Make it! They actually have a great set of icons in lime green which would make a nice scheme to your skin. What is stopping you fromw making the head green much like that elinks site?
