I have a db server and had cpanel on it and configured it and everything for backup of the mysql folder but now the lisc is expired and it seems the backup script is causing the server to crash when it runs. How do I stop the backup script from runing since I don't have access to whm now?

/scripts/cpbackup manages the backups and is initiated through a cron job.

You could either delete the cron job or backup /scripts/cpbackup and replace it with a script that does nothing.
