Can anyone comment on the latest buildapache?

After running /scripts/easyapache, httpd starting to hang:

    4948 nobody 25 0 8540 8540 4972 R 50.8 1.6 120:14 httpd
    8727 nobody 25 0 8600 8600 4984 R 48.9 1.6 66:33 httpd

The box only has several static sites and averages less than 5 requests :/

The load doesn't go below 2, mod_perl was not compiled

Before apache recompile, average load was in the 0.2 mark

WOW, there are over 250 Core files in /etc/httpd that are 4mb in size

I think that stopping apache before running buildapache would prevent this, see here:

Once it happens of course the only thing to do stopping apache, removing all the core files, and starting it again.
