    Hi Everyone. First time user.

I'm on a reseller shared hosting plan with another company and one of my clients would like all their emails to go directly to their own IP address where their server takes care of the emails.

So I'm trying to change the MX Entry so that all the emails go directly to another IP Address, and not another domain name. Is this possible with Cpanel or WHM, or does my Hosting company need to do this?

I would appreciate some help, since I don't really know too much about what can and can't be done with this company. They are not very helful when I talk to their tech support.

    Thank you in advance.

MX records have to be a name, not an IP address.

But to have email sent to another host, remove the domain on your server from /etc/localdomains and add it /etc/remotedomains

This tells cpanel that you'll not be handling email locally.
