    I'm running:

    cPanel 11.25.0-R42213 - WHM 11.25.0 - X 3.9
CENTOS 4.7 i686 standard on host

    ON a liquidweb hosted machine.

We have 86 or so hosting accounts all with their own IP address.

Just this past tuesday we started experiencing a problem with some of the hosts on our server. At this time we are not sure how wide spread the problem is but we know at least a few of the sites are having issues.

The problem is that transfer rates on the upload are horrid. Upload on ftp for affected domains is less than 20kbps. Try and send an email attachment through an affected IP? Forget about it! It will time out completely!

Then there are the other hosts on the same server that work perfectly!

I'm at a loss. Liquid web doesnt know whats going on either.

I suspect something with the tcp stack or a memory leak possibly.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Is the problem intermittent or readily reproducible? Have you done any pings or traceroutes when encountering the issue? Have you checked autonegotiation/duplex settings on your NICs? How long had the box been up previously without this error (new server?)?

The box has been up for 94 days so about 91 days.

Our ISP swears up and down its not them, however now it seems that the problem is only reproducible from this network.

We are gonna do more testing from home tonight and see whats going on. It might actually be comcast somehow.

It's just strange that it's only on certain hosting accounts. I'll post back with more info when I have it.

Try traceroutes from different locations and post the results if you can.
