Dear Forum members,

Our first cpanel server reaches it's EOL, and I'd like to install in parallel a second, and maybe a third completely separate Cpanel/WHM instance. As cpanel runs fluently while it maintains it's dns records, ideally what are the hosts that has to be set up for the new servers , with the appropriate A recrods, to work without any issues?

our current setup:

cpanel.xxx.yyy , the xxx.yyy domain is handled by cpanel.xxx.yyy

If I add :
cpanel2.xxx.yyy , and cpanel3.xxx.yyy what dns records should I set for these servers to work? Is it an intended setup, or should I just register a new domain name?

Thanks,
Balazs

Hello! There should be no problem at all using the same domain name for multiple servers. All that matters is that the DNS host (where the nameservers for the main domain lives) has A records for any subdomain you use for a server. As long at this DNS host is pointing the subdomain A records to the right IP address, it should be no issue.
