HD External

    Can i use HD External for back up the data with Cpanel?

    Hello,

    If you think you can attach an external hard disk to your server then surely you can backup all the data of cpanel on it. All you have to do is attached the hard disk to server. Mount it to the server. Set that mount point in WHM >> Configure Backups option and then run from shell following script:

    /scripts/cpbackup

    This will generate the cpanel backup, complete backup of accounts on server including mail, mysql, data etc on the drive attached to server. Once completed you can remove the hard disk and keep it safe.

    In this way you can take backup on external hard disk whenever you want.
