can somebody tell me how to separate my hdd partitions to work fine with cPanel
I have box with 240GB HDD
and 2GB RAM.
I will install centos 3.4 on it.
if somebody tell me the most optimized variant it will be great

Well cPanel state:
The following partitions are recommended prior to installing cPanel:
001 GB /
050 MB /boot (No seperate /boot for FreeBSD)
001 GB /tmp
010 GB /usr
007 GB /var
001 GB swap (swap should be 2x RAM)
Remaining space to /home

Note: The above partitioning scheme is assuming a 40 GB hard drive. If you have a larger hard drive, you should increment /usr & /var accordingly.
Personally I think, on CentOS 3.4 you really should have /boot as no less than 100mb.

So let's work it out:
001GB /
100MB /boot
001GB /tmp
001GB /swap
[?] Swap should be RAMx2 but for simplicity im presuming thats 1gb here.
060GB /usr
042GB /var
REMAINING /home

If you need to make swap more or less, then do. Just let '/home' have all the rest.
