Hello,

I have a question about dns cluster. I have setup multiple servers and i am using dns cluster so i give only 2 nameservers to all my customers, everything is working fine just one issue.

If i move one account from one server to another server, and i want to run account from another server not old server, for this i have to terminate account from old server but i dont want to do this because first i need to verify everything working fine on new server no errors then i will remove account from old server. So is there any trick when we move one account to new server it should run from new server and somehow we disable this domain sync from old server?

Hello,

You can just change your domain "A" record with new server IP on old server so that you will not face any issues and you can test your domain from your new server.

Hello,

You would need to edit the DNS zone on the destination server to replace all instances of the destination server's IP address with the source server's IP address. You'd also want to update the email routing configuration when editing the zone on the destination server to "Remote Mail Exchanger".

Also, when the time does come to terminate the account from the source server, remember to enable the "Keep DNS Zones" option:

When you terminate an account, you can keep the domain's zone file in the DNS server. This is useful, for example, if you move an account to a different server that is a part of the same DNS cluster as the previous server, and you want to delete the account information from the original server. To keep the DNS zones for an account that you wish to terminate, select the associated checkbox in the Keep DNS Zone column.
Thank you.
