As far as I can tell I just need to stop exim and then remove the contents (not the directory) of /var/spool/exim/db/

Sounds easy but I do not know the commands to use to do this. Can someone post the commands I need to use?

    Thanks in advance.....

To stop the exim server you will have to use the below mentioned command:

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/exim stop

To remove the content from the directory, you will have to use the below mentioned command:

    rm -rf /var/spool/exim/db
