I have a cpanel server which has only one account. This account is not using our dns, therefore I gave them the IP Address of the server to use in their DNS.

Now I ordered an SSL certificate which need to be installed for this account. Unfortuantely I can not install it, because WHM don't let me install it on the main shared IP.

So I thought I change the server IP and give then this account the same IP Address again, that they don't need to change their DNS again.

Changeing of the main IP of the server was no problem. This is now another IP address. But I can not add this IP Address again, because I always get the message that this Address is already in the system.

Where can I tell WHM that I have now another main shared ip address?

I'm very in a hurry. Hope someone can help me here.

    Hi Michael,

You can setup your main shared IP from

WHM >> Main >> Server Configuration >> Basic cPanel/WHM Setup >> Main Shared Virtual Host IP

and you can see your ip address usage from :

WHM >> Main >> IP Functions >> Show or Delete Current IP Addresses
