    I did this in /usr/local/cpanel/logs

    rm stats_log
    touch stats_log

/usr was first 4 GB now it is 1.5 GB (according to du)

After 20 hours server information / server status still say it is 4 GB.

How long does this take to propagate???

Is it maybe in some trash bin where it has to be removed from?

You have to restart cpanellogd to view the new disk useage.

My host told me journal had to restart which only happened at low load.

So I killed cpanellogd (which was generating high load) and restarted cpanel.

    solved
