Hello, I found this in SSH as root on my server:

    /root/.cpcpan/pingtimes/mirror.candidhosting.com

Does anyone have any idea if this is a potential compromise of my server.

A search showed that this is a Florida hosting company but I'm not sure why or if the path is indicating that a mirror of my server is being sent to his servers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Go on, have a guess
That's perfectly normal. cPanel uses a wide variety of cpan mirrors to update perl modules on your server when new ones are available. If you didn't know, this is cpan:

    Thanks for the information chirpy.

I should have come back and posted. After reading further it indicates various locations that cpanel uses for perl.
