    99% that your mod_php4 is broken for some reasons.

    Recompile the Apache via WHM -> Apache Update (if you are beginner). Check the box to force the compile (at the bottom). DO NOT choose phpsuexec and php as module at the same time!

    If you would like - I may fix the server and reinstall the Apache/PHP4 + PHP5 for you for a small fee ($20). PM me.

    Also uncheck "Skip Apache Build if up to date" just to be on the safe side.

    I'm having this problem after updating apache via whm (only change was to update to php 4.4.1)

    Syntax error on line 32 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
    Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: libmcrypt.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    /etc/init.d/httpd startssl: httpd could not be started

    I tried everything but to no avail. Anyone know why this happens? Resolution?

    httpd worked after reupdating back to php 4.4.0

    Hi,

    The Mcrypt package install didn't work for me though .. :rolleyes:

    But the following worked for me ..

    /scripts/perlinstaller --force Bundle::DBD::mysql
    Then recompile apache with easyapache script .. /scripts/easyapache :cool:
