cpanel mostly for hosting server, I am wondering why are you installing cpanel on the desktop version of Fedora.

Anyways, take look at your X-Windows error log to see what kind of problem you are having, may be cpanel version of some files might have replaced some of the Fedora core files.

Either way, you might want to run the cpanel on a server without desktop install. Because cpanel does customize some files, which might not be compatible with your desktop

Consider using CentOS 4.4, if you are going to setup cpanel on the new server
    hope that helps

When you install cPanel and WHM, it automatically disables the X interface. That means anything that runs on X (such as KDE, Gnome and most GUI applications) will no longer function. It is highly recommended that you NOT run X in a server environment.

Please stop bumping the thread, people will reply if they want to.

You've already been told that cPanel disables X for good reason. If you want to use X windows then you're on your own. You could try having a look through /scripts/quicksecure which may help to reverse the changes - but it may not.
