Can this be done in WebHost Manager?

    Randy,

That's as easy as using the &Change a site's IP address& , in the left frame of your webhost manager.

It will say &shared& for the domain if it is virtually hosted currently- just choose one of the free addresses you have available.

    good luck!

NB: After changing from IP-less to IP-based, do following (CPanel should do this but doesn't):

    1) &Edit DNS Zone& of the domain and update to the new IP
    2) open your httpd.conf file and go to the section of this specific domain (probably at the bottom of the file). Add the old IP before or after the new IP. Why? For your Domain to respond to the old IP requests until the DNS have propagated your changes.

    Restart DNS (bind) and Apache.

    Finito.
