When you create an FTP user you can now specify the directory (and it's subdirectories) that it can access.

This has been available in the default and bluelagoon skins for some time.

As for limiting a subdomain, you are best to create a new account entering the full sub.domain.com as the account domain name. This will allow you set the limits as required.

To only give access to a certain directory, just create that directory as a subdomain then set up ftp access to that subdomain. To limit the space in it, I think you pretty well have to set up the subdomain as a completely seperate account. That would take care of both problems.

To use Cpanel and limit the space provided to a Sub-domain, you must create an account using a Sub-domain name. Setup an account in the usual way and in the box for Domain, use: sub-domain.domain.com.

That would depend on your hosting setup. If you just have a virtual hosting account, (single website account), it probably will unless you're allowed to have more than one domain (or subdomain in this case).

If you aren't sure, you will have to ask your hosting provider.
