help no log

    hi
    I have installed cpanel/whm on my box
    but I have no logs:

    var/log/messages is empty....

    help me please:)

    root@max8 [~]# yum install syslog
    fedora | 2.1 kB 00:00
    updates | 2.3 kB 00:00
    Excluding Packages in global exclude list

    I havent the syslog daemon!! in /etc/init.d
    I run a Fedora release 8 (Werewolf)


    :(:(


    Package rsyslog - 2.0.2-3.fc8.i386 is already installed.

    I just want to note that Fedora Core 8 is not officially supported at this time.

    usually , sysklogd is the package. did you try

    yum install sysklogd ?
