I'm completely new to WHM, but reasonably used to cPanel. I opened a new reseller hosting account yesterday and appear to have achieved the impossible, but it's completely messed things up.
Let's call the reseller account domain name " reseller.com "
Having set up the account and domain in the hosting services website, I then followed their instructions to log in to WHM and create some packages. Having successfully done that, I misunderstood some foggy instructions and created a client account in WHM that has the same domain name and user details as the reseller account.
The problem is now, that I cannot remove the client account " reseller.com " so that the reseller.com domain (and thus cPanel quotas etc) reverts back to the reseller account instead of client level package quotas, cPanel, and File Manager folder structure.
When I try to just terminate the client account in WHM - it gives me a severe warning about not being able to commit suicide by deleting the reseller account domain name from the client account list.
Does anyone know how to cure this?
Is it a case of have the hosting company delete the entire account and rebuild it? (There's no websites in there yet, so nothing to lose).
Thanks
