    Hi team, I'm a complete newbie.
    I can’t log in to my “companyname.co.uk/cpanel” normally.
    Tried deleting history as web host suggested but still can’t log on.
    Previously, when I used to, I had no Recycle/Delete folder, just a Junk folder in Squirrel Mail.
    Lately, I can’t even get to log in, so can’t get any mail.

    Web host says that he can’t help because Squirrel Mail is a 3rd party application. I have no internet connection problems.

    Any ideas?

    Your Hosting Provider's comment is confusing as even if Squirrel mail was disabled from being used by all users, you should still be able to login to select a Webmail client to login to. cPanel offers multiple Webmail clients. (Horde, squirrel, Round Cube)

    Are you getting past the first cPanel page that you login to, before selecting the Webmail client or no?

    Are you using the full email address as the username to login?

    Can you login to cPanel itself?

    ...............
    Your opening statement is correct from my point of view. I tried both "company name".co.uk/cpanel and "companyname".co.uk/webmail but no joy. The host writes in useless ambiguous one liners.

    By the way, I only underdstand Standard UK English.

    Q1. = No

    Q2. = Yes

    Q3. = No

    Many thanks for your time. Much appreciated.

    When you say companyname, are you speaking of your company, or the Hosting Providers company? If the latter, try yourdomain.com does that work? If yes, try yourdomain.com/cpanel and/or cpanel.yourdomain.com do any of those work?

    Sorry for all the questions.

    No. The guy suggested in one reply, "The fact you don’t need to log in suggest your history or cookies are interfering as it constantly looks fine to me and no other people are reporting problems. Try deleting your internet history, cookies and cache etc. Then reboot your machine." I deleted the cookies but don't know where to find the cache.

    In another he wrote, “I’m not sure why the recycle folder wouldn’t be there. Is it possible to just create one? Then delete into there and every so often delete the folder then create it again? Squirrel mail is 3rd party software so i don’t know much about it I’m afraid and I don’t use it myself."

    I don't understand the response. Does this mean you were able to clear your browser cache proper then?

    If cpanel.domain.com and domain.com/cpanel do not end up working, please try https://domain.com:2083 and https://IP#:2083 where IP# is your domain's IP number. To use the domain, we have to assume your domain is working and it might not be (for all we know).

    For webmail, you can also try the direct webmail port of https://domain.com:2096 or https://IP#:2096 instead.

    If none of the above work for you, only your hosting provider can assist. It might be your firewall blocking the ports. The proxy subdomains (cpanel.domain.com and webmail.domain.com) only work if your provider has enabled those, which they might not have.
