    cd /usr/local/src/
    wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/perl588installer.tar.gz
    tar xzvf perl588installer.tar.gz
    rm -rf perl588installer.tar.gz
    cd perl588installer
    ./install

    You're just running an old version of perl and need to update it. Might also want to update your cpanel to the latest stable and use the migration manager in WHM to migrate all your users to X3 rather than X them for cpanel.
