I have a network backup solution with my datacenter. I have mounted the samba share to /mnt/backup. In WHM, I have configured my backup options to not use incremental backups and not FTP backup--this way it will also backup configs, etc. I have put my backup destination as /mnt/backup but I am getting some errors. These errors are mainly are:

cp: failed to preserve ownership for `/mnt/backup/cpbackup/daily/folder/file': Operation not permitted

I am getting these errors with almost every directory and folder.

Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

    Thanks

    Go on, have a guess
It won't work, because the samba share doesn't know anything about file linux permissions (on a Windows server). Personally, I create the normal cPanel backups to disk and then rsync them over to the samba share.
