Getting the error while creating a email account in cpanel : Write Failed: Disk Quota Exceeded

If I create a email account with unlimited disk space then it goes fine but if I create it with 10 mb or 20 mb whatever it may it gives the disk space error :
Already tried to upgrade cpanel with edge release
    Also tried with upcp

This is server wide issue on a VPS, Any urgent help on this would be appreciated.

Has the account you are creating the email account on passed it's set quota in space?

You are trying to create an email account under a domain. That domain must belong to someone... root, a reseller, etc.. sometimes if the reseller that owns the account has surpassed their allotted space this will cause issues for those sub accounts. Also could be that their web site files are taking up all of their allotted space under the package assigned to their account. Could it be one of those cases?

Thanks for the elaboration with last post.

Nope this is not the case the accounts are not under any reseller, it is a VPS and the accounts are under "root". And the disk space is not exceeded. However if I login to cpanel for any account it shows some garbage value for disk space in left side menu.

Have you tried running /scripts/fixquotas? It sounds like there is a problem with the quotas on the server which could be causing the problem with the email. There have been other problems reported in these forums with certain versions of VPS. If fixquotas doesn't help you might check with your VPS provider.

Interesting, I would log a ticket with your provider and see what they can tell you. Couldn't find any relevant bugs listed on bugzilla..
