Have utilized ftp many times before. Have a new WHM account with HostGator and am trying to upload files via ftp to site. Trying to use straight ftp address or CUTE Ftp and neithe will work -- here is the error message I get: "The file or folder was not found. Please verify the filename or folder path and try again." With CUTEftp...with the straight ftp address route it puts me in "annonymous"ly and I can't get it to open the public html. Thanks for any help. :)

Not sure I understand, you're trying to upload files to a new account you've created via WHM? Does the site resolve at yourdomain.com? Are you trying to use the domain or the IP? Are you trying to login via FTP as the root user of this new account, and added FTP user account, or root user of the server itself?

Changing FTP clients won't be much help here I don't think.

Please make sure that you have assigned the appropriate permission and the ownership to your domain folders.
