Help with Hostname public_html

i just got a new server with WHM and cpanel. i setup the server with the host name web.hostname.com and set nameserver with the same domain and made a new user in cpanel with the domain. but for some reason i can not get rid of the default cpanel Success screen when loading http://web.hostname.com can some one please tell how to fix this or were to locate the public_html

i relized i sound like an idiot

Everything works perfectley with all my domains on the box. everything seems be be setup correctley, except that http://web.mydomain.com points to the default cpanel install

I don't think you can have your hostname as the domain for an account, because the hostname points to the actual server's IP. I could be wrong, but this would be my best guess.

onezime is correct. Change the name of your account to domain.com instead.

Help!!!

I have been trying all day to figure out this problem..... still nothing....

http://web.lucianinetwork.com

Default Cpanel Place Holder...

web.lucianinetwork.com is my servers HOSTNAME

i CAN NOT find out where or why there is a public_html for my host name. but there is, all i would like to do is add a place holder with my company logo incase it is stumbled upon can someone PLEASE HELP
