For most of the accounts in a server of ours, the group seems to be set wrong on dirs like /tmp but also when users upload new files, the user gets set right but the owner is set to the user with UID of user -1.

    Anyone else ever seen this?

This causes i.e. perl scripts not working.

I already checked /etc/passwd but things look fine in there.

    Please help.

I found /etc/group to be wrongly numbered when compared to /etc/passwd

How can I fix this easy?
