OK my host is being stupid (i think) they refuse to install MySQL 4.1 because they say its not stable with the current version of Cpanel installed on their servers. The version of Cpanel installed on the server is: 10.0.0-RELEASE-7 does anyone know if these two versions of software are stable together???

    Go on, have a guess
IMX, MySQL 4.1 is far from stable on cPanel servers at present and would not advise anyone to install it unless they have very real needs for it and are happy for some things to break.
