    i want to make the extension .devek be handled with php how do i do that?

    Try adding .devek to httpd.conf:
    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php .php4 .php3 .devek
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .devek

    i dont have acess to that... or else i would do that but like in cpanel they have like a custom extion thing that you can make stuff run by different interpreters... i need to know how to do that

    Then add the handler line I just posted to the apache handler config in your cpanel account....

    Log in, you should see an icon for apache handlers, click that and then you will see an input box, and the page should also have some pre-defined system values like php, php3, php4 etc. Add the extention and the handler I just posted, and it should work fine.
