I am trying to set up a new server. The server should have an entry in godaddy.com that points to my server at the address http://server1.1simpleloan.com but every time I go to that address I get an error message... and ASP error message from what is a Linux box running Apache and PHP (So somehow I think I might be getting sent to the wrong address...).

Could someone walk me through the process of setting up a new server? Assume I am an idiot...:)

What part of the server setup process are you at? Have you installed cPanel/WHM yet?

If so, you'll need to access WHM to run the setup screens. WHM will then create DNS entries for your hostname. It will take 24-48 hours before you can access your server with your hostname: http://server1.1simpleloan.com

Before that time, you can access the server with its IP address
