    hi all

is it possible to configure whm so that for certain hosting packages a htaccess file is used which will restrict access to defined direcories or hide them in file manager?

i want to give free hosting accounts but only have the public html folder available in cpanel.

    any help is much appreciated

you may upload your own .htaccess file to the root directory of cpanel-skel3/public_html folder which the files will be auto copied over when a new account is setup.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

    hi

    thanks for the reply

if i did that, would the htaccess file then be visible in file manager and so it could then be deleted by the account holder?

    thanks
