every day I get an email informing me of Cpu/Server Overload. the email is as follows:

IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
This is cPanel cpuwatch on ns1.xxxx.com!
While processing, the cpu has been
maxed out for more then a 6 hour period. The current load/uptime line on the server at the time of this email is
    1:35pm up 73 days, 16:42, 1 user, load average: 1.01, 0.27, 0.08
You should check the server to see why the load is so high and take steps to lower the load. If you want stats to continue to run even with a high load; Edit /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and change extracpus to a number larger then 0 (run /usr/local/cpanel/startup afterwards to pickup the changes).

the extracpus i have set to: 6

is there some kind of bug causing this to happen?

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

I get several of these as well. It's got to be a bug because everytime I checked into the server after getting it there was no problem.

I submitted a ticket a while ago about this and they just said to up the amount of cpus. (Not really a fix though). My guess it is a very low priority bug.
