High Exim Loads Due to Safelists

    We are having a problem with safelist mail lists and exim. The loads they are causing is ridiculous.

    There are various methods for tuning exim for such high throughput in threads on the forums, but bear in mind that the issue is one of server capacity not really that of the mail server itself. One obvious suggestion is that you should always be using dedicated mailing list apps for such things, i.e. mailman.

    Probably the best method to bring performance under control in exim is to queue email after your load average goes above a certain level using the two modifiers mentioned in:
